Scott Lawson earned a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education from SUNY Fredonia and a Masters degree in Educational Psychology from SUNY Buffalo. He has spent his career working in the early childhood field. He taught preschool for a Head Start program and kindergarten in a school in New Zealand.
At the Buffalo Zoo, he worked as a Science Magnet School Liaison and also started a preschool classroom on the grounds of the zoo. He currently teaches at the Elmwood Franklin School as a lead teacher in the Beginners program, serving 3- and 4-year-old students. He believes every child (and teacher) has tremendous creative potential and has spent the entirety of his career focused on collaborating with like-minded educators to help students joyfully pursue their interests in a fun and engaging environment.
